Charity Operations Manager

The Charity Operations Manager will play a key role in ensuring the management and smooth running of Grange Park Centre charity and The Arc Community Hub. Working closely with the board of Trustees, and other members of staff, the Charity Operations Manager will ensure that the Centre is a vibrant, well-run facility for members, groups and other users and that it works to meet the needs of local residents. This will include managing bookings and payments to help ensure the financial sustainability of the community centre. This is a new role and reflects the transition of The Arc to a fully operational community centre as we emerge from recent Coronavirus restrictions. Trustees are keen to maximise use of The Arc for the benefit of the local community and want to appoint an Operations Manager to help us to deliver our vision. All work will be in line with the charity purpose to help people to come together sustaining a stronger community and in accordance with our vision, mission and values.

Part-time Cleaner and key holder

The Cleaner & Keyholder will do two critical things: keep the building safe and clean, and manage the opening and locking up for some of our centre bookings. Working closely with the Centre Manager, the Cleaner & Keyholder will make sure the building is ready and looks good for people hiring it and those coming in to attend groups, classes and events. Customer-facing, this person will also be friendly and welcoming, opening up the building for centre users, running through checklists and locking up. Flexibility is key, as we will need help with opening and locking up for ad-hoc bookings, for example one-off birthday parties at the weekend. The vacancy is funded by the Grange Park Centre Charity.
